#1 We bought the cheapest house in our village

In this video, we’re excited to show you our newly purchased property in central Portugal. It’s an abandoned farm with several outbuildings and a house, and we haven’t even moved in yet! We'll be giving you a tour of the outbuildings, the main house, the land, and sharing some of our plans for the future.

Our move to Portugal came after a big realization while living in the UK about what we truly wanted in life. We dreamed of becoming more self-sufficient and creating the life we envisioned for ourselves. Renting for years in the UK, we found fewer opportunities to own a place of our own. So, we decided to move to Portugal, where my sister already lived, and finally make our dream of owning a property come true. We chose a place with plenty of land to grow our own food and raise animals but manageable enough for the two of us to maintain. We also picked a spot near a village, giving us access to amenities and essential services like doctors and schools without feeling too isolated.
